The Mayor of Tangsel Presents a Song at the Peak of the 67th Anniversary of UMJ
University of Muhammadiyah Jakarta held the 67th UMJ Milad Peak celebration which was held at the FISIP UMJ Plaza (10/12). The theme raised at this celebration was "Synergy Towards Excellence" with a festive and happy atmosphere. Secretary of BPH UMJ Prof. Dr. Agus Suradika, M.Pd., together with the Mayor of South Tangerang Drs. H. Benyamin Davnie, also enlivened the event by presenting a song called Pelangi di Matamu which was popularized by Jamrud. All the guests and academicians who were present looked amused and joined in singing the song.
Benyamin congratulated and appreciated the holding of the milad which was considered to bring new enthusiasm in developing education in the city of South Tangerang. "Happy 67th anniversary to the University of Muhammadiyah Jakarta, which has shown significant developments and improvements and contributed to the human development index in the City of South Tangerang," said Benyamin.
As part of the Muhammadiyah organization's charitable efforts, UMJ does not only aim to produce scholars but also carries out the mandate to prepare graduates and become community leaders. In line with that, Benyamin explained that UMJ alumni had made a very proud role. "UMJ has given birth to young generations who contribute to national development," said Benyamin.
On the same occasion, Dr. Ma'mun Murod, M.Sc. The Chancellor of the University of Muhammadiyah Jakarta explained that the celebration of the 67th Anniversary of UMJ was extraordinary because it tended to be prepared in a relatively short time. "Make this anniversary moment to seriously think about Muhammadiyah Jakarta University in order to get superior accreditation," said Ma'mun.
Head of BPH UMJ Dr. Abdul Mu'ti, M.Ed. in his remarks explained that UMJ has enormous potential to develop into a superior campus if togetherness continues to be maintained and improved. "This campus is our campus and this campus can progress very much if we unite and work together," explained Mu'ti.
The highlight of the UMJ Anniversary began with the Color Run which was attended by all UMJ academics and also students of the Free Student Exchange (PMM) program. After the color run participants have arrived at the specified point, the event continued with art performances from the academic community, awarding the UMJ Personnel Award, awarding plaques to the winners of the competition, awarding outstanding student awards, and distributing door prizes .
The anniversary celebration was also enlivened by booths with tenants from every faculty within the UMJ environment, as well as bazaar stands from Bulog, BSI, Boss Food, Studentpreneur Scholar Baznas Scholarship (BCB) , Abuba Steak and HIPMI PT UMJ. (MN/KSU)
