FT UMJ Students Advance to the Finals of the 2023 Indonesian Flying Robot Contest

 Students who are members of the Shankara Community,  , University of Muhammadiyah Jakarta (  ) advanced to the final round of the 2023 Indonesian Flying Robot Contest (KRTI) and competed with students from universities throughout Indonesia. In the competition held by  , Shankara FT UMJ has always entered the final round since 2018. 


In this event the FT-UMJ KRTI team sent two divisions. The first is the Racing Plane with the name Elang Batavia, consisting of Muhammad Fathur Rizki (Industrial Engineering), Muhammad Imam Najib (Information Engineering), Syahara Avivah (Industrial Engineering).

The second division is Technological Development named Jalak Batavia, consisting of Ilham Gilang Permana (Electrical Engineering), Syamil Abdul Qohar (Chemical Engineering), Nur Shahnas (Industrial Engineering).

Both of them are the core team that will fight in the final round from 22 to 27 September 2023 in Lampung.

These students have participated in a series of competition selections that have been taking place since April 18, 2023. The selection process is carried out starting from proposals and regional selection. Furthermore, the flying robot made by Shankara's team passed testing to ensure its eligibility to be included in the competition.

Chairman of Shankara FT UMJ, Muhammad Rizal Alfikri (Civil Engineering), was also involved in giving directions to his members who took part in the competition. Rizal, who previously took part in the competition three times in three years, shared the concepts and strategies that can be adopted for the 2023 KRTI competition.

"Competing with the best campuses in Indonesia is a big challenge for us, but this is what triggers us to keep practicing and be more enthusiastic about developing all our abilities," said Rizal enthusiastically.

KRTI supervising lecturer, Yana Adharani, M.Kom., enthusiastically guides the members of the Shankara team in competing. Yana often reminds the team to always be careful and disciplined when checking goods or making rides, because according to her, the slightest mistake can be fatal.

Yana advised the team to have a strong mentality, be consistent, be disciplined, be thorough, and be willing to keep learning. Yana expressed her gratitude because according to her the Shankara team had high fighting spirit and dedication.

"We are grateful for the involvement of alumni led by Mr. Rojiwanudin, who always provide support and direction, especially in research on the development of unmanned aircraft for the preparation of KRTI," said Yana.
