Defeating UMT, PS UMJ Advances to the U-23 Menpora Cup Final

The Jakarta Muhammadiyah University Football Association (PS UMJ) advanced to the final round of the 2023 Menpora U23 Cup after beating Muhammadiyah University Tangerang (UMT) with a narrow score of 2-1. The match took place at the UMJ Stadium, Thursday (26/10/23).

Both teams appeared to be pressing from the start of the first half, buying and selling attacks was inevitable. A fierce duel occurred as the ball flowed only in the midfield area. Both teams played openly with a fast tempo in the first half, making the match interesting and creating many opportunities.

UMJ broke the deadlock first in the 12th minute, the goal was scored by Herjun Harianja taking advantage of the chaos in the penalty box area. Behind one goal, UMT tried to respond by dominating possession of the ball, but UMJ managed to increase their lead in the 29th minute through penetration into the front of goal by Raja Haekal.

UMT managed to reduce the deficit to one goal at the end of the first half in the 42nd minute, the goal was scored by jersey number 17. Entering the second half, UMJ and UMT both attacked each other and created several opportunities.

This fierce match was marked by a rain of yellow cards from both teams and one red card received by UMT. However, no additional goals were scored until the referee blew the long whistle at the end of the second half.

Also present was Deputy Chancellor IV UMJ Dr. Septa Chandra, SH., MH., watched the 2023 Menpora Cup semifinal match. Septa expressed his joy at PS UMJ being able to advance to the final round which will take place on the University of Indonesia football field. Not only that, Septa hopes that in the final round PS UMJ can show the best game.

"In the name of the Jakarta Muhamamdiyah University (UMJ), I wish the PS UMJ team in the final round to be the best," said Septa when met at the end of the match.

On the same occasion, PS UMJ team captain Garnis Putra Pratama, advised that the team should not be quickly satisfied with the victory they had achieved. He also invited us to work harder to show our best game in the final round.

"In the final round, we will work hard, whoever the candidates will meet, we will be ready to face it to win," said Garnis.

The next semifinal match pitted the Indonesian Education University (UPI) against the Indonesian Christian University (UKI). The winner of this match will face UMJ in the final round, Saturday (28/10/23).

Prodi Ekonomi Islam FEB UMJ Raih Akreditasi Unggul

Program Studi Ekonomi Islam Strata 1 (FEB UMJ) berhasil meraih predikat Akreditasi Unggul dari  (LAMEMBA). Predikat ini didapat berdasarkan SK LAMEMBA No. 1016/DE/A.5/AR.10/II/2024 pada Senin (05/2/2024). Prodi Ekonomi Islam (EKIS) telah menjalani proses visitasi akreditasi pada 12-14 Desember 2023 oleh Tim Asesor. Asesor yang diutus untuk melakukan visitasi adalah Prof. Dr. Toto Gunarto S.E., M.Si dari Universitas Lampung dan Dr. Maftukha’tusolikhah, M.Si dari Universitas Islam Raden Fatah Palembang. Ketua BPH UMJ: Ibadah Sholat Berikan Kekuatan Spritual dan Keteguhan Jiwa

   Ketua Badan Pembina Harian Universitas Muhammadiyah Jakarta (UMJ) sekaligus Sekretaris Umum Pimpinan Pusat (PP)     Prof. Abdul Mu’ti M.Ed menjadi khatib dalam sholat jumat di Masjid At-Taqwa, pada Jumat (09/2/2024).
